The government has submitted for consideration the State Duma the bill №243826-7 "On amendments to the Federal law "About the international medical cluster and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation".
Amendments to the legislation, the Government in the explanatory note to the document explains the "practical expediency of expansion of territory of the international medical cluster" (MMK). Under current law, the location of the CMI is determined by the Government of Moscow. In connection with the resolution of the Moscow Government dated 21 September 2015 "On measures to ensure the establishment and functioning of the international medical cluster in the city of Moscow" it is established that CMI in Moscow located on the territory of the innovation center "SKOLKOVO".
The bill provides for the expansion of the territory of MMK through the territory of the Moscow region expanded to a new territory of action provisions of Federal law. On the territory of the Moscow region adjacent to the boundaries of the city of Moscow and has strong infrastructure links with the city, there is a logistical possibility of expanding the territory of the MMK.
In the explanatory Memorandum stresses that "in the Moscow region successfully applied experience in the placement of specialized objects on the basis of existing infrastructure use of existing medical institutions, created a unique medical hospital rehabilitation centers that can provide a platform to accelerate the development of the CMI".

Financial provision of the activities envisaged by the bill will not require additional allocations of the Federal budget and the state off-budget funds. Their funding will be at the expense of Russian and foreign private investors.
